Welcome, students! To help you make the most of your educational journey with Seattle Public Schools, All of the important information and resources you need for success can be accessed through your online portals. Consider this page your one-stop hub to find and use these platforms and resources.

SPS provides two primary platforms for students and families to access and keep track of tools, course material, assignments, learning resources, and so much more. They are CLEVER (your student portal) and The Source

Through CLEVER, students can easily navigate to essential tools such as Office 365, Schoology, Seesaw, and more. All you need is your student username to log in and unlock these valuable resources.

Getting Started with Clever

Using Clever is straightforward. As a student, log in with your student username to access the wealth of educational tools available. This digital platform provides a convenient way to manage your academic journey in one central location.

Connecting Families to Academic Resources:

Families play a vital role in supporting students' learning. Clever extends its benefits to families as well. Many academic tools students use are accessible through the Online Student Resources page.

This means parents and guardians can easily stay informed about the platforms and tools their children use to enhance their education.

Stay Engaged, Stay Informed:

Clever empowers students and families to engage with education like never before. From collaborating on Office 365 to engaging with coursework on Schoology, Clever ensures that academic resources are just a click away.

Logging In: Step by Step:

  • Open an internet browser and visit the Seattle Public Schools website.

  • Click the Clever Student Portal link.

  • Choose "Log in with Active Directory."

  • Enter your full username (example: 1student@seattleschools.org) and click Next.

  • Enter your password and click Sign In.

  • Start exploring the applications available to you.

The Source

The Source is your gateway to valuable student information. Parents and guardians can use it to view attendance records, assessment scores, progress reports, and even access tools like SchoolPay and Schoology Access Codes. If you're an enrolled student, The Source allows you to log in using your student account to check your assignments and other relevant details. Click here to log in to The Source.

What Can You Find on The Source?

  • Academic Insights: Access your attendance records, assessment scores, and performance reports. Stay informed about your progress in various subjects.

  • Personalized Information: View your elementary progress reports, secondary student assignment scores, and other school-related details tailored to your needs.

  • Easy Access: Students are given usernames and passwords by their schools, enabling them to log into The Source using their student accounts.

  • Parent and Guardian Access: Parents and guardians can set up Source accounts to monitor your progress and stay connected with your educational journey. They can also access information about SchoolPay, Schoology Access Codes, and more.

Setting Up Your Source Account:

For Parents and Guardians:

  • To set up a parent or guardian Source account, ensure you're on record as the parent or guardian of an actively enrolled SPS student.

  • Your email address must be on record at your student's school.

  • Visit The Source and follow the setup process. Enter your email address, check your inbox for a confirmation email, and create your account.

For Students:

  • Students receive usernames and passwords from their schools.

  • Log into The Source using your student account. Remember, your username starts with the beginning of your username and omits @seattleschools.org.
